Educational consultant Barbara Miller is an expert in providing effective strategies and solutions for educational programs and students. Her experiential and research knowledge of how students learn, on students with special needs, and on education law, provide an instructive backdrop to her workshops, presentations, mediations,and consultations. Barbara has 30 years experience in regular and special education, including teaching, program coordination, and administration. She holds an Oregon Administrative License and a Masters Degree in Special Education from the University of Oregon.

Special Education and Conflict Resolution Experience

30 years experience in the field of special education, including program administration, teaching, and conflict resolution. Experience in both public and private settings, including case management and educational research. Knowledge of a wide range of special needs/disabilities from ages birth through adult. Strong understanding of IDEA'97 as well as special education law, policies and procedures. Client advocate yet able to understand and appreciate the role and restrictions placed on the public schools. Specialized knowledge in the area of ADHD and Asperger’s Syndrome. Professional workshops for parents and education professionals.
