The Mediation Center emphasizes "maximizing mediation" wherein participants are assisted to be at their best and to reach the most possible satisfaction of their many interests and goals. There is a maximized problem-solving approach. We also emphasize utilization of the Internet to assist in having the most efficient and economic process possible and also one that puts the words of agreement in the hands of participants and empowers them to make progress between face to face meetings.

Familiarity with special education, early intervention and IDEA '97 regulations:

As Associate Director of the CADRE project (national center on special education dispute resolution), I have seen fit to become closely acquainted with the mediation and other due process provisions of IDEA '97.
