Overall Mediation Training and Consultation Services:

Common Ground offers a unique approach to skills development. We believe in customizing our trainings to meet the needs of our clients. While some clients prefer 'off the shelf' workshops, others prefer trainings designed to meet that organization's specific needs. Trainings vary in length and can be divided into modules based on the needs of the client. Trainings are content rich, interactive, engaging and fun; using short lectures, discussions and pertinent exercises. We specialize in negotiation, mediation and conflict resolution trainings in the special education and other areas.

Familiarity with special education, early intervention and IDEA '97 regulations:

Robin Amadei, owner, has been mediating special education disputes since 1992. She has mediated well over 100 special education cases. She participates in yearly trainings in IDEA through CDE and has a working knowledge of IDEA and its regulations.

Additional Information:

Robin is an Adjunct Professor at University of Denver (since 1994), teaching classes in mediation, negotiation, agreement writing and how to conduct effective trainings and workshops. Robin also conducts trainings for the Federal government (USDA Graduate school) in mediation, conflict management and negotiation. Further, Robin conducts advocacy training for the Advocacy Center in Denver, CO and the Environmental Protection Agency (nationwide). Robin has a dynamic, engaging training style which enables participants to learn the materials and skills while having a good time!
