In our society, people are used to solving problems through competition or not solving them through avoidance. The result is that problems are not solved and there is often a breakdown in relationships. This two training addresses a new, collaborative process of problem solving and the skills needed to get there. Participants engage in order to self assess and learn to apply new communication and negotiation skills.

This workshop is designed to help the IEP team prevent conflict early-on and effectively manage it when it arises. Trainees will recognize circumstances that enhance meeting effectiveness and those that create barriers to successful decision-making. Team members can use these skills to help evaluate their own interactions as well as offer ideas for improving team functioning.
